14.12.2025 : Een deel van onze wijk is uitverkoren voor een pilot, waarbij bewoners worden ontzorgd als ze isolatieglas willen om energie te besparen. De pilot wordt uitgevoerd door Energiek Leiden, in opdracht van de gemeente.

Een belangrijk voordeel is dat bewoners worden ontzorgd. Dit is vergelijkbaar met het eerdere project van de gemeente en het bedrijf ‘Winst uit je woning’ (dat recent failliet is gegaan), maar er zijn enkele belangrijke verschillen. Ten eerste wordt het nu uitgevoerd door Leidse organisaties die beter thuis zijn in de specifi eke omstandigheden in Leiden wat betreft de erfgoedregels, subsidies, vergunningen en de lokale leveranciers. De opzet is om het hele proces (aanvraag, eventuele vergunning, eventuele tekeningen, en dergelijke) veel makkelijker te maken. Ook live contact is daardoor veel makkelijker. Bovendien is het nu speciaal gericht op woningen in beschermd stadsgezicht. Er wordt naar gestreefd om door de collectieve aanpak ook een korting te verkrijgen bij de glaszetter/ aannemer, maar of dit lukt moet nog nader worden uitgezocht.

Als de pilot succesvol is, wordt dezelfde opzet ook toegepast in de andere ‘historische’ buurten van Leiden, inclusief monumenten en karakteristieke panden. Naar verwachting krijgen de bewoners die het aangaat in januari een brief in de bus.

Pilot project: hassle-free purchasing of insulating glass
Part of our neighborhood has been selected for a pilot project, where residents are provided with a hassle-free experience when purchasing insulating glass to save energy. The pilot project is being conducted by Energiek Leiden, commissioned by the municipality. It involves the neighborhood between De Sitterlaan, Lorentzkade, Zeemanlaan, and Lammenschansweg.

A key advantage is that residents are provided with a hassle-free experience. This is similar to the previous project by the municipality and the company "Winst uit je woning" (which recently went bankrupt), but there are some important differences. Firstly, it is now being implemented by Leiden-based organizations that are more familiar with the specific circumstances in Leiden regarding heritage regulations, subsidies, permits, and local suppliers. The aim is to simplify the entire process (application, any permits, any drawings, etc.). This also makes face-to-face contact much easier. Moreover, the project is now specifically aimed at homes in protected cityscapes. The collective approach aims to also offer a discount to glaziers/contractors, but further investigation is needed to determine whether this will be successful.

If the pilot is successful, the same approach will be implemented in Leiden's other "historic" neighborhoods, including those with historic buildings and distinctive buildings. Affected residents are expected to receive a letter in January.
