11.07.2026 : Het duo De Moed en Kuppen speelt tijdens Kunst over de Vloer werken van Olivier Messiaen, Alban Berg, Mathilde Wantenaar en Francis Poulenc. Een mooie kans om deze geweldige, prijswinnende muzikanten te zien en horen op 1 november!
English follows the Dutch text Jelmer de Moed (klarinet) en Rik Kuppen (piano) hebben zich in de afgelopen jaren ontwikkeld tot vaste gezichten binnen de Nederlandse klassieke muziekscene. Jelmer won onder meer prijzen op het Prinses Christina Concours en de Classic Young Masters Award. Hij behaalde zijn masterdiploma met de hoogste onderscheiding in Berlijn en was finalist van Dutch Classical Talent 2022. Rik was eveneens prijswinnaar in het Prinses Christina Concours. Door jurylieden werd hij omschreven als een echte "kleurenvirtuoos".

De muzikanten begonnen hun samenwerking al tijdens hun studie. Ze brachten onder auspiciën van AVROTROS Klassiek een gezamenlijke debuut-cd uit met werken van Schumann, Brahms, Debussy en Berg. Het duo staat bekend om hun thematische en grensverleggende concertprogramma's. Dat belooft wat voor 1 november!

De Moed and Kuppen play Messiaen and more
The duo De Moed and Kuppen will perform works by Olivier Messiaen, Alban Berg, Mathilde Wantenaar, and Francis Poulenc during Livingroom Concerts. A wonderful opportunity to see and hear these amazing, award-winning musicians on November 1st!

Jelmer de Moed (clarinet) and Rik Kuppen (piano) have established themselves as familiar faces within the Dutch classical music scene over the past few years. Jelmer has won prizes at the Prinses Christina Concours and the Classic Young Masters Award, among others. He obtained his Master's degree with the highest distinction in Berlin and was a finalist in Dutch Classical Talent 2022. Rik was also a prize winner at the Prinses Christina Concours. He was described by the jury as a true "virtuoso of color."

The musicians began their collaboration during their studies. They released a joint debut CD under the auspices of AVROTROS Klassiek featuring works by Schumann, Brahms, Debussy, and Berg. The duo is known for their thematic and groundbreaking concert programs. That promises to be something special for November 1st!
