25.09.2026 : UPDATE : Hoboïste Esther van der Ploeg komt weer met een vertelconcert, samen met verteller Rens van Hoogdalem en pianist Yukiko Hasegawa. Inmiddels is het programma bekend: het heet 'Ithaka aan de Horizon' en voert u mee naar het avontuurlijke oude Griekenland.

U volgt de jarenlange omzwervingen van Odysseus, de koning van Ithaka, waar zijn beeldschone vrouw Penelope al die tijd op hem wacht. Dit verhaal wordt verlevendigd door de muziek van onder andere Ravel, Saint-Saens en Debussy.

Esther van der Ploeg speelt als freelancer in orkesten als het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, NedPho, Residentie Orkest en Philharmonie Zuid Nederland. Als barokhoboïste speelde zij onder andere bij de Nederlandse Bachvereniging en het Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. Daarnaast bespeelt zij ook de klassieke en de romantische hobo. Op de romantische hobo werkt zij mee aan de uitvoeringen van de symfonieën van Brahms met de Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht.

Pianist Yukiko Hasegawa studeerde in 2011 af aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Ze staat bekend om haar verfijnde en gevoelige muzikaliteit met een diep begrip van de vele verschillende stijlen in haar repertoire. Ze treedt zowel solistisch op als in kamermuzieksamenwerkingen voor veel verschillende muziekfestivals en concertzalen.

Dichter-acteur-verteller Rens van Hoogdalem treedt met klassieke musici door het hele land op met vertelconcerten. Hij draagt her en der zijn gedichten voor, maar ziet ze toch het liefst op papier verschijnen.

Oboist Esther van der Ploeg returns with a storytelling concert, joined by narrator Rens van Hoogdalem and pianist Yukiko Hasegawa. The program has now been announced: titled 'Ithaca on the Horizon,' it transports you to the adventurous world of ancient Greece. You will follow the years-long odyssey of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, while his beautiful wife, Penelope, awaits his return. The story is brought to life through music by composers such as Ravel, Saint-Saëns, and Debussy.

Esther van der Ploeg plays as a freelancer in orchestras such as the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, NedPho, Residentie Orkest, and Philharmonie Zuid Nederland. As a baroque oboist, she has performed with the Netherlands Bach Society and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, among others. In addition, she also plays the classical and romantic oboe. On the romantic oboe, she participates in performances of Brahms' symphonies with the Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht. Pianist Yukiko Hasegawa graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory in 2011. She is known for her refined and sensitive musicality, with a deep understanding of the many different styles in her repertoire. She performs both as a soloist and in chamber music collaborations at many different music festivals and concert halls.

Poet, actor, and storyteller Rens van Hoogdalem performs with classical musicians throughout the country in storytelling concerts. He recites his poems here and there, but prefers to see them appear on paper.
