Inloopbijeenkomst over bouw Gymzaal Oppenheimstraat / Information evening about the construction of the Oppenheimstraat Gymnasium

29.06.2026 : De basisscholen in de buurt (Lorentzschool, Josephschool en Internationale School Leiden) hebben dringend een nieuwe gymzaal nodig. Daarom bouwt de gemeente een gymzaal aan de Oppenheimstraat.

Deze gymzaal vervangt de gymzaal aan de Lammenschansweg. Het definitieve plan is nu klaar. We hebben een aannemer gevonden en de globale planning is bekend.

Onderwerpen
De werkzaamheden aan de Oppenheimstraat hebben invloed op uw omgeving. Tijdens de bijeenkomst krijgt u informatie over:

- de aannemer.
- definitieve ontwerp gebouw.
- voorlopig ontwerp buitenruimte.
- globale planning.
- bouwplaats en tijdelijke aanpassingen, die in de straat nodig zijn om de bouw veilig te kunnen laten verlopen.

Aannemer
Na de zomervakantie start aannemer Du Prie Bouw en Ontwikkeling met de verbouwing. Du Prie Bouw en Ontwikkeling is een aannemer uit Leiden die ervaring heeft met dit soort projecten.

Bouwplaats
Tijdens de bouw is een bouwplaats nodig. Hierdoor wordt het huidige schoolplein tijdelijk kleiner. Daarnaast zal de aannemer bouwmaterialen aan- en afvoeren vanaf een depot. Daardoor komen tijdens de bouwperiode een aantal parkeerplaatsen te vervallen.

Voorbereidende werkzaamheden
De eerste voorbereidingen beginnen in de zomervakantie, waaronder het verwijderen van de betonblokken op het schoolplein en het verplaatsen van het huidige stalen hek ter vervanging van de betonblokken. De bouw start na de zomervakantie (eind augustus 2026).

Information evening about the construction of the Oppenheimstraat Gymnasium
The local primary schools (Lorentzschool, Josephschool, and Internationale School Leiden) urgently need a new gymnasium. Therefore, the municipality is building a gymnasium on Oppenheimstraat.
This gymnasium will replace the one on Lammenschansweg. The final plan is now ready. We have found a contractor and the general schedule is known.

Topics
The work on Oppenheimstraat will affect your neighborhood. During the meeting, you will receive information about:

- the contractor.
- final building design.
- preliminary outdoor space design.
- general schedule.
- construction site and temporary adjustments required in the street to ensure the construction can proceed safely.

Contractor
After the summer holidays, contractor Du Prie Bouw en Ontwikkeling will start the renovation. Du Prie Bouw en Ontwikkeling is a contractor from Leiden with experience in this type of project.

Construction site
A construction site is required during the construction. As a result, the current schoolyard will be temporarily smaller. Additionally, the contractor will transport building materials to and from a depot. As a result, a number of parking spaces will be lost during the construction period.

Preparatory work
The initial preparations will begin during the summer holidays, including the removal of the concrete blocks in the schoolyard and the relocation of the current steel fence to replace the concrete blocks. Construction will start after the summer holidays (end of August 2026).
