Let op: Dit staat overigens los van de jubileumconcerten die komende maanden in de Oud Katholieke kerk plaats vinden.

Regelmatig nodigde Franz Schubert (1797-1828) zijn vrienden uit om zijn recente composities voor hen ten gehore te brengen. Op zo'n ‘Schubertiade’ in 1827 droeg hij zelf de liederencyclus ‘Winterreise’ voor, naar de gedichtencyclus van Wilhelm Müller (1794-1827). De hoofdpersoon in de liederen is overgeleverd aan bittere winterse kou, ver van mensen en de bewoonde wereld. Zijn angsten en verlangens drijven hem voort; liefde is onbereikbaar. In het laatste lied gloort een sprankje hoop.

In the Old Catholic Church, Schubert's "Winterreise" will be performed by Jeroen van Staveren (bass-baritone) and Lida Brouskari (piano)

Franz Schubert (1797-1828) regularly invited his friends to perform his recent compositions. At one such "Schubertiade" in 1827, he himself performed the song cycle "Winterreise," based on the poem cycle by Wilhelm Müller (1794-1827). The main character in the songs is abandoned to the bitter winter cold, far from people and civilization. His fears and desires drive him on; love is unattainable. In the final song, a glimmer of hope glimmers.

Jeroen van Staveren zingt sinds 1998. Hij had les van o.a. Miriam Beumer, wijlen Bas Kuilenburg, Rudolf Ruivenkamp en Federica Olivieri. Bij Rudolf Ruivenkamp en diens vrouw Louise Werner volgde hij meerdere workshops in de uitvoeringspraktijk van opera en operette. Hij maakte tot 2022 deel uit van het amateurensemble Opera Utrecht en zong rollen zoals Leporello (Don Giovanni) en Filippo (Don Carlo). Sindsdien legt hij zich toe op het Duitse en Franse Lied. In mei 2023 vertolkte hij ‘Dichterliebe’ van Robert Schumann.
Jeroen van Staveren has been singing since 1998. He studied with Miriam Beumer, the late Bas Kuilenburg, Rudolf Ruivenkamp, and Federica Olivieri, among others. He took several workshops in opera and operetta performance practice with Rudolf Ruivenkamp and his wife Louise Werner. Until 2022, he was a member of the amateur ensemble Opera Utrecht, singing roles such as Leporello (Don Giovanni) and Filippo (Don Carlo). Since then, he has focused on German and French Lied. In May 2023, he performed Robert Schumann's "Dichterliebe."

Lida Brouskari is een uitvoerend musicus, artiest, improvisator, componist en vocalist die uiteenlopende muziekgenres vloeiend met elkaar verbindt. Ze is in 2016 afgestudeerd als klassiek pianist in Griekenland en in 2023 als jazz- en poppianist aan de Hogeschool voor de Kunsten te Utrecht. Momenteel is Lida actief als zelfstandig scheppend musicus en improvisator in Nederland. Haar werk, dat internationaal op diverse podia en festivals te horen was, ontstaat vanuit intuïtie en emotionel beleving. Hierbij verkent zij de wisselwerking tussen akoestische en elektronische klankwerelden.
Lida Brouskari is a performing musician, artist, improviser, composer, and vocalist who seamlessly blends diverse musical genres. She graduated as a classical pianist in Greece in 2016 and as a jazz and pop pianist from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2023. Currently, Lida is active as an independent creative musician and improviser in the Netherlands. Her work, which has been heard internationally on various stages and at festivals, arises from intuition and emotional experience. In it, she explores the interplay between acoustic and electronic soundscapes.
