English follows the Dutch text In 2050 moet Nederland aardgasvrij zijn. Een grote verandering in alle huizen: geen CV-combiketel meer, geen gasfornuis! Dit wordt de warmtetransitie genoemd. De gemeente Leiden maakt daar met elke wijk een plan voor. Bij de gemeente is de ProfBurgwijk na 2035 aan de beurt.

Al lijkt 2035 misschien ver weg, dit is hét moment om hierover na te denken. Nu kunnen we nog onze eigen plannen maken, zoals wij het willen. En hoe sneller er een plan is, hoe sneller ook jij weet wat het slimste is om te doen als je CV-ketel moet worden vervangen, of als je je keuken of badkamer vernieuwt.

Daarom is in de Profburgwijk de warmtewerkgroep opgericht. Ze brengt de wensen van de wijk in kaart, onderzoekt warmte-oplossingen voor de wijk en is gesprekspartner van de gemeente. De warmtewerkgroep deelt op deze deelpagina van de website haar informatie.

De warmtewerkgroep komt op voor de wijk en kan dat alleen met input uit de wijk. Daarom is er een panel opgericht: met 2 keer per jaar een korte enquête geven wijkgenoten aan wat belangrijk is.

Gas-free?

The Netherlands must be natural gas-free by 2050. A major change in all homes: no more central heating boilers, no more gas stoves! This is called the heating transition. The municipality of Leiden is developing a plan for this with each neighborhood. The ProfBurg district will be next in line after 2035.

Although 2035 may seem far off, now is the time to think about it. We can still make our own plans, the way we want them. And the sooner a plan is in place, the sooner you'll know the smartest thing to do when your boiler needs replacing, or when you renovate your kitchen or bathroom.

That's why the heating working group was established in the Profburg district. They are mapping the neighborhood's needs, researching heating solutions for the district, and are a discussion partner for the municipality. The heating working group shares its information on this section of the website.

The heating working group advocates for the neighborhood, and can only do so with input from the community. That is why a panel was set up: twice a year, residents of the neighbourhood indicate what is important through a short survey.
