Vraag bij een installateur na of jouw huis ook zonder 3-fase aansluiting over kan op een warmtepomp. Heeft jouw woning echt een 3-fase aansluiting nodig, vraag dan bij netbeheerder Liander verzwaring aan. Jouw aanvraag komt sinds juli 2026 op een wachtlijst.

Heat pumps are possible with a single-phase connection
It is often claimed that a three-phase grid connection is necessary to move away from gas entirely.
However, did you know that a fully electric heat pump is often possible without needing to upgrade your grid connection? It all comes down to the electrical power required: a relatively low power demand can be accommodated by a single-phase connection. Consequently, the better insulated your home is, the more likely this becomes—you might even be able to include an induction cooktop as well. Add a few solar panels on the roof, and you’re all set.

Ask an installer whether your home can switch to a heat pump without a three-phase connection. If your home truly requires a three-phase connection, you can request an upgrade from the grid operator, Liander. Please note that, as of July 2026, such requests are placed on a waiting list.
