18.06.2025 : Van 30 juni tot circa 25 juli is de Kanaalweg tussen Hoge Rijndijk en Lorentzkade afgesloten voor auto's en motoren. Het asfalt aan de Kanaalweg is versleten en de gemeente gaat het vervangen op het stuk tussen de Hoge Rijndijk en de Lorentzkade.
English follows the Dutch text Het gedeelte bij de Julius Ceasarbrug wordt niet vervangen. De fietspaden worden niet opnieuw geasfalteerd. Er zijn ook werkzaamheden aan de Julius Ceasarbrug en de Europaweg. Deze werkzaamheden zijn op elkaar afgestemd.

Bereikbaarheid
Tijdens de werkzaamheden zijn de rijbanen in beide richtingen afgesloten voor al het verkeer. Het fietspad blijft bereikbaar. De omleiding wordt met borden aangegeven en loopt via de Hoge Rijndijk – Levendaal – Lammenschansweg.

De parallelweg langs de Kanaalweg is tijdelijk niet bereikbaar vanaf de Kanaalweg.

De Lorentzkade blijft bereikbaar via de Kanaalweg vanaf het Lammenschansplein.

Kanaalweg temporarily closed
From 30 June to approximately 25 July, the Kanaalweg between Hoge Rijndijk and Lorentzkade will be closed to cars and motorcycles. The asphalt on the Kanaalweg is worn and the municipality will replace it on the section between the Hoge Rijndijk and the Lorentzkade.

The section at the Julius Ceasarbrug will not be replaced. The cycle paths will not be resurfaced. There will also be work on the Julius Ceasarbrug and the Europaweg. These works are coordinated.

Accessibility
During the work, the lanes in both directions will be closed to all traffic. The cycle path will remain accessible. The diversion will be indicated by signs and will run via the Hoge Rijndijk – Levendaal – Lammenschansweg.

The parallel road along the Kanaalweg is temporarily inaccessible from the Kanaalweg.

The Lorentzkade remains accessible via the Kanaalweg from the Lammenschansplein.
