30.05.2024 : Iedere 3e zondag van de maand gaat een groep bewoners op stap om zwerfvuil op te ruimen in de wijk, met andere woorden: rotzooi die anderen gewoon op straat of in het groen gooien.

Wanneer: Elk 3e zondag vd maand - verzamelen om 10.00

Het valt op dat we gigantisch veel sigarettenfilters oppikken, meestal tussen de stoeprand en geparkeerde auto's. Één sigarettenpeuk kan tot 1.000 liter grondwater vervuilen met zware metalen, nicotine en microplastics. De filters vallen uiteen in schadelijke stoffen. Deze stoffen komen uiteindelijk in ons (drink)water terecht. Niet zo gezond dus voor plant, dier en de mens. Gooi sigarettenpeuken in de vuilnisbak en niet op straat of in de gootsteen.

Help to clean up the Neighbourhood
Every 3rd Sunday of the month, a group of residents goes out to pick up litter in the neighborhood, in other words: rubbish that others simply throw on the street or in the greenery.
Where: 't Trefpunt - corner Professorenpad/Franchimontlaan
When: Every 3rd Sunday of the month starting at 10.00

We notice that we pick up a huge number of cigarette filters, usually between the curb and parked cars.
